Spieker’s got a high basketball IQ and is always thinking a play ahead. She gets herself into the gaps to knock down shots and she has very deep range on her shot. She also makes strong cuts and sees the floor. Because of her ability to knock down shots at a high percentage, also does a great job of using shot fakes and making strong drives to the hoop. Makes solid passes and just keeps adding more to her overall game.

Spieker’s range is limitless. She can literally pull up from anywhere inside the half court line with confidence. She catches the ball ready to fire and she can get her shot off quickly. Since most opposing teams know how well Spieker can shoot the ball, she does a great job on her shot fakes as well. Once she gets past her defender, she can finish through pull-up jumpers, floaters, or layups. However, she also does a great job of kicking to her teammates and seeing the floor. Spieker should have a big season this year as her talented Whitefield squad looks to make some big waves in the 6th Region.

I just recetly heard that Spieker score over 1,000 points in Middle School, wo seasonswhich is impressive but not so surprising since she is only 29 points away from scoring 1,000 points in High School after only two seasons. Not bad for a player that was the 3rd Option in the Offense last season.
Spieker is a scoring machine that can put the ball in the holw reliably in numerous ways. She regularly shoots the three from more than a few feet past the line, penetrates to score off uo layups and floaters, but she will need to improve her free throw shooting to really make herself unguardable. She has excellent footwork and situational awareness that she uses to make crisp passes to open players when she is denied the opportunity score.
She is also an oppotunistic ballhawk that collecets a few steals each game, usually in the halfcourt defense, but ocassionally on the press. This player is just starting to peak the interest of Coaches on the next level and will be playing for somebody in College. If you need a Three and D option that can be more than that who can drag a Zone out of shape to open up an Interior game this is a player you need to see.

Spieker can shoot the lights out of the ball and it feels like her range is limitless. The lefty is constantly working to get open looks on the perimeter. She makes good cuts and does a great job moving without the ball. Spieker can also shot fake and drive. She finishes floaters and layups well. She also can handle the ball with pressure. Spieker’s basketball IQ is high and it’s evident when you watch her play. She doesn’t typically force shots that aren’t there, but rather, she works really hard to get good looks for both herself and teammates.

After averaging just under 20 points a game as a Freshman and leading the team in scoring and into the All “A” State Tournment, Spieker has had to adjust to playing with a few talented upperclassmen that can aso put the ball in the hoop at a high clip and are noth more ball-dominant players. The transition has been tough at times but it has really helped her to grow as a player into a larger role playing off the ball and focusing on other aspects of her game. I look forward to seeing her play this year, but next season she will be posied to breakout even further when she will potentially return to being the fetured ofensive player on the aquad. rnFrom what I have seen there is no other player in the 6th Region with better In-the-Gym Range than Spieker. She can and will fire up an open shot from anywhere across halfcourt and with as rong likelyhood of sinking it. Despite being a excellent Stretch player she has a real knack at penetrating for the pull-up, floater or layup and is an excellent passer off the bounce.
