This season will only be the fourth for the Storm as Willow Spring HS is one of the newest schools in North Carolina. The last couple of years, Willow Spring has been among the winningest programs in the state going a combined 51-7 the last couple of years. She landed an offer from North Carolina A&T last calendar year and has since picked up interest from William & Mary as well as Radford. Mitchell wore the Willow Spring uniform on 29 occasions last season and averaged 8.7 points plus 6.9 rebounds a contest in 2023-24. Mitchell has played two sports throughout her career – basketball and volleyball.
