Byles had me wondering who she was until I went “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” and asked a friend. I was shocked because I hadn’t seen her in at least 2 years, and her transformation had me SMH. Yes, she is strong, stands above “the magic number” and is powerful, but here’s the kicker, she attacks the basket relentlessly and finishes after the lick, she does the same thing inside the paint. Her short jumper, as well as her defense also looked good

Prep Girls Hoops Scout

Byles is listed with the bigs but she is extremely versatile. She has the size and strength to bang with the bigs inside when necessary, but she can handle the ball on the perimeter with no hesitation. From the elbow, Byles showcased a poised turn around jumper that the defense did not have an answer for. Still only a junior, Byles’ game is on another level already.

Byles and her Super Sophomore teammates don’t have any notes by them as I’m only observing their progression after labeling all #D1Locks years ago. Her hands and footwork are an added plus as she’s gotten better with that yet she’s attacking off the dribble from multiple angles to finish, yes after contact. To top it off, her midrange looks good, so does her defense, in and outside the paint

#3 Byles is a terror inside the paint and I’m talking on both ends. Watching her go after everything off the rim has always been special for me to see, not only because it’s #THROWBACK but because she does it instinctively. She also finishes strongly around the rim, after contact included and can face the basket to score with the jumper or attack off the dribble
