Amauri’s strength and size was simply too much to handle inside. She outmuscled opponents for rebounds, grabbing her own miss and going right back up with force. She moves exceptionally well for her size and runs the floor with ease. She has a soft touch around the rim and can finish with defenders draped all over her. Amauri anchored the paint on defense and made it hard to get anything at the rim with her shear size and physicality.

Amauri is stepping up in a big way for Danville Christian. The 5’10 forward is averaging 11.6 ppg and a team-leading 12.6 rpg. She provides a physical presence in the post and she uses her size plus strength to bully through defenders and convert at the rim. Amauri is a rebounding machine who she makes the most of her put back opportunities and gives her team a lot of extra possessions. Amauri shows flashes of a soft shooting touch from the perimeter and she stands out as a rim protector.

She can score with power or finesse around the rim and does a excellent job using her size and strength to gain ideal position for a rebound. She can also step out knock down open trey balls. Amauri averaged 10.5 points and 9.6 rebounds as a freshman and should see ample opportunity as a sophomore this season.

Blackford averaged a double-double for a DCA team that seemingly came out of nowhere to be the 12th region champions and are set up to be a state title contender this coming season.
