Several scouts and coaches alike took note of Pahl’s performance on Sunday. The 6′-‘1 post has a big frame and a ton of strength, as well as no fear when it comes to physicality. We’ve seen her extend out to the perimeter more in recent months, improving her outside shot over the course of the summer. Amaya showcased her ability to attack the basket on Sunday, splitting through three defenders on one particular possession. Also noteworthy was Pahl’s ability to set quality screens, an integral skill for bigs looking to play at the next level. Pahl’s understanding of the game and on-court decision making is improving with time. With big enhancements to her skills, leadership, and overall confidence, this season could prove to be a breakout year for the Lakeville South junior.
