Ameera doesn’t have the height that some of her opponents possess, but that doesn’t stop her from showing up on defense and keeping active hands. She has the ability to force turnovers, or simply disrupt the offense enough for someone else to make a mistake.

Ameera’s got grit and tenacity, and she has the right level of basketball IQ to handle the ball well and set up her teammates for good shots.

She tells me that her shooting has improved in recent years, and she’s gotten better at creating space between herself and the defender.
