Few kids can handle being extremely high-usage players and help their team win games, but that’s what Grant does. The Brown Deer guard is among the state leaders in scoring and plays in one of the more competitive conferences in the state in the Woodland-West. Her ability to create at her size and consistently find good looks is unbelievable. I’m unsure what she has going recruitment-wise, but she could be a steal at the scholarship level. Not many kids are as creative with the ball in their hands as Grant is, and that’s saying something.

Grant has a smooth shooting stroke and a finesse-style game. She effectively brings the ball up as the point guard, getting the offense running efficiently before integrating herself into the flow of the game. She doesn’t force shots – instead, she allows them to come to her. I was impressed by her ability to fulfill the roles of both point guard and court commander while also being a lead scorer. Last season, Grant averaged 31.2 points per game with Brown Deer, with a high of 41 points in a victory against Milwaukee School of Languages. Another aspect I noticed was her strategic use of energy, playing in bursts of speed that catch the defense off guard. She can easily slice through the defense and finish at the hoop, often using a hop step to maneuver around defenders. As a senior, I am confident she will lead her team to another successful season.

Smaller guards have challenges garnering attention in recruiting, but Grant has garnered some D1 interest over the years. The speed and elusiveness Grant has with the ball in her hands allows her to make things happen off the dribble, and with her Playground Elite team, you can see her create for others when she forces defenses to collapse off the dribble. Guards that are difficult to keep in front allow offenses to get into actions with an inherent advantage.

Was impressed with Ameerah Grant Ameerah Grant 5'5" | PG Brown Deer | 2025 State WI ability to knock down the three-ball off the catch and off the dribble during Saturday Session. Today, she knocked down multiple threes in multiple ways which opened things up for not only herself but the rest of her teammates throughout the Saturday Session. Ameerah Grant Ameerah Grant 5'5" | PG Brown Deer | 2025 State WI showcased her ability to shoot it from multiple areas of the court. In terms of shooting off the dribble, I was most impressed with Ameerah Grant Ameerah Grant 5'5" | PG Brown Deer | 2025 State WI shooting during the Saturday Session.
