The little-known Bootsma is one of the top bigs, and the best rim protector, in the classification. A Greater Wichita Area League honorable mention selection in 2023 Bootsma was pretty much road blocked from playing last season for the 2A state champs. Very long, fast and athletic one of the things I really like is her quickness and footwork to defend on the wing and inside.

Another big who made a serious amount of noise this summer to grab college attentions is Bootsma. Several college coaches I talked with feel she has serious potential to play at the D II level. Bootsma has great length, active feet, transition speed and a strong motor. She competes well on both ends of the floor, is unafraid of contact and competes well for boards in a crowd. As her skills sharpen her stock is only going to continue to rise. While she was unable to take the floor last season for the 2A state champions expect her to command the middle for the Panthers in 2025. Bootsma advanced 14 spots to #64.

The anchor in the middle for a Dynasty team that went 4-0 on the weekend. Good height and wingspan, which she puts to use as an aggressive rebounder on both ends of the court. Especially with the way she tracks the ball and is willing to fight for rebounds out of her area. Bootsma also had some good moments with setting effective, heavy screens. Her scoring output was quiet in the one game viewed, but showed good touch on a 10 footer in that game.
