Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I’m a team-first player who loves making smart plays and setting my teammates up for success. I’m known for strong passes and good decision-making, and my long arms help me get into passing lanes and block shots. I just try to do the little things that make my team better every time I’m on the court.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
I’m dedicated, hard-working, and always looking for ways to get better. I try to be as consistent as possible, stay focused on my goals, and bring my best every day. I’m loyal to my team, and I really try to listen, learn, and be coachable. Whether it’s at practice, in games, or on my own time, I’m always working to improve.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
Outside of basketball, I’m dedicated to my family, friends, and community. I take academics seriously, maintaining a 4.0 GPA and earning two Academic Honor Awards and Student of the Month twice. I also help with childcare in my neighborhood, which has taught me responsibility and patience. I always strive to stay well-rounded and community focused.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
I’ve developed strong leadership and teamwork skills as a team leader both on and off the court—whether it’s organizing warm-ups, helping teammates stay on track while traveling, or stepping up when needed. Volunteering as a coach’s assistant and junior coach for youth programs, along with fundraising for the American Heart Association, has helped me grow as a mentor and leader.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
I’ve faced challenges both in the classroom and on the court. I have significant dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, which make academics harder for me than most—but through persistence, I’ve maintained a 4.0 GPA and earned academic honors. On the court, I was once called awkward and clumsy, but hard work has made me confident, skilled, and tough to guard.
