Kenwood is stacked with talent and a favorite again to win 4A, and one of the main reasons is Henigan. There is not a tougher leader in the state. Kenwood plays with a sort of organized chaos, and she leads that chaos while keeping everything together. A tough on ball defender who gets strips, deflections, and steals. She claps for teammates when they make plays and puts them in position to succeed without hunting her own shots. A true leader who sacrifices for the team. She is the emotional engine that keeps Kenwood moving.

Henigan has been another bright spot for this Kenwood team this year, and since her role has increased, she has stepped up and has been impactful when needed. She can stretch the court, defend the active guards.. or find a way to get to the rim. She is definitely due for a huge scoring output type of performance.

Amillya had a great weekend for Legends United at our Victory Region Finals. She scored a team-high 11 points in the semifinals, draining three triples with a confident wrist-snapping follow-through. Amillya used her quickness and active hands to create many steals on defense. She had the ball on a string, using shifty crossovers, between-the-legs, and push-out dribbles to create space from defenders. Amillya has a soft touch on her floaters, converted contested layups at the rim, and is a very talented prospect. She has been selected for the All-Tournament Third Team.

Henigan is part of Kenwoods future in staying a competitive team. This year, the team is loaded with a ton of seniors, so the minutes have been spared for everyone, and even though she is coming off a major injury, that aggressive nature seems to run in the Henigan blood. A big summer is ahead for Amillya.

This kid was really fun for me to watch. She came off the bench but made huge impacts. She was part of every push that her team made. She is slippery off the bounce and can hit the three. She is unselfish to a fault and is a hounding defender. She is also great in transition. Very underrated kid that is a star in my book.
