Angel did a great job of moving without the ball, spacing, and cutting in the 3×3 portion of camp. She pushed the ball well in transition, has a nice vertical to grab boards, and was able to get downhill to the rim. Her wingspan and effort on defense to wall up her opponents was impressive as well.

Marietta HS may be the land of Blue Devils but it was blessed by an Angel this past weekend. A standout from 6A McEachern, Hurst is an accurate 3-point specialist. She plays the role of a two guard efficiently but can also give a team productive minutes at the three. Hurst is listed at 5-foot-7. A couple of her signature games from the past weekend were when she scored 14 points in a win over Team Brandan Wright 15U and tallied another 14 in a close defeat to an unbeaten Macon Mystics team. Collecting steals and getting out in transition are two other integral elements to her already superb skillset.

In a realm where Blue Devils typically play, an Angel had her wings and halo. Rising stars from 6A McEachern had themselves a day at Peach Games Saturday and Hurst was no exception. With a 14-point performance to dispatch Team Brandon Wright 15U Red, Hurst ensured North Metro Elite 15U’s record at Peach Games would improve to 2-0 for the day. She possesses the 3-point shooting prowess of a conventional two guard along with the ball handling skills of a point guard. Another of her traits that make her a fit at the one is how she can set up an offense in a half court set.
