Wilson was a kid I had on my list coming in to watch heading into the event. She is a player I have heard a lot about a seen a little bit of, but had not watched a full game for one reason or another. She was impressive averaging right at 13 point per game against excellent competition while helping to lead McEachern to a 3-1 record. In their lone loss against an extremely loaded Creekside team and backcourt, Paris scored 16 points leading her team in scoring. If you blink while she has the basketball, then she could easily be out of sight when you open up your eyes back up. She looks like she has the basketball on a string and put together several ball handling sequences throughout the weekend that created enough space for her to get her shot off over taller defenders from the perimeter. Paris also had no problem scoring over taller defenders when she broke defenders down off the bounce and got into the lane. I look forward to seeing her play again, soon. She is will only get better with time and she is an outstanding player already.

Paris finds herself in a crowded top ten with very high level players, somewhere she belongs. Her game is very similar to and reminds me of another outstanding young guard in Georgia in another class,
Saige Walker

. Both players are excellent facilitating the ball and delivering it to their playmakers in scoring position while also being not only consistent but threats to score on all three levels themselves. Like Walker, Wilson is electric with the ball in her hands in the open court using her elite ball handling and peripheral vision to create SportCenter top ten-like plays on the regular. She has the ability breakdown defenders, often making them look silly, with 1-2 dribble combinations before leaving defenders behind her with her blazing speed. She is one of the quickest players in the state with or without the basketball as well.

Wilson was like a flash moving rapidly from spot to spot with the basketball making it almost impossible for one defender to stay in front of her. Particularly evasive with momentum and a head of steam going downhill with the ball, Wilson can also disappear from in front of defenders in a flash while running her team’s offense. Paris is quick as a cat on the move, but her hands are equally as fast enabling her to push the ball with pace and hit open teammates in very small windows. Wilson is a very capable scorer herself both on the inside and the perimeter. Once Paris gets around the initial defender, she becomes a real problem knocking down midrange jumpers, finishing at the rim, or kicking the ball out to a teammate for three. Wilson herself is a capable shooter from three making her one of the better young point guards in Georgia. I will see her several more times this Spring and Summer and look forward to doing so.

Smooth, highly advanced guard. Looks like a freshman, but has huge game. Lightweight guard has a growth spurt upcoming. Lanky shooter and swift playmaker. Deep range. Active defender digs out steals and deflects passes. Crafty finisher with both hands. Leads McEachern in scoring at 11.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 3 assists and 3.4 steals. D-I future.

Electric guard with a crafty layup package. Strong help defense. Quick to seal gaps and force the turnover. Called out plays and communicated effectively. If a teammate was unaware of a screen, she was vocal in calling it out and making her aware.

Plays with maturity and polish. She’s fast with the ball and smooth in the mid-range. Her jumper is clean, and she finishes with both hands through contact. She’s an instinctual scorer with the skill to be effective from all over the court.
