Anika is a returning All-Region selection for the Thunder and she has high expectations for herself and her team. She is a really good athlete who has a fantastic burst of speed. When she commits to being powerful going to the basket she is hard to stop. I appreciate the effort and energy that Anika plays with. She can defend guards and posts effectively due to her impressive strength. She is able to catch passes in traffic and get to the rim. Her ability to get to the free-throw line is valuable. Lastly, Pinke plays with great effort. She is able to keep multiple possessions alive each game due to her tremendous effort on the court.

Anika is a terrific athlete and special player for Hatton-Northwood. She is a multi-sport athlete who is a tremendous asset to the school’s athletic department. She earned herself All-Region honors in 2026-2027 and could find herself on the All-State team in the future. She moves extremely well and looks like a college guard. She is a consistent double-figure scorer capable of big nights each time she walks onto the court. She plays both sides of the ball and is a tremendous defender. Pinke will have a chance to be a quality recruit the next two seasons.

The Pinke family will have to adjust to watching Anika on the floor without sister Elizabeth for the first time in a long time next season.  Good basketball runs in the family.  Anika plays a different style than her sister, but is just as valuable on the floor.  She will need to take over more scoring responsibilities next season.  The Thunder are going to be really good with Anika leading the way.  She is a good athlete and can get to the middle of the paint basically any time she wants.  She loves to throw up a soft floater at the basket.  She is a good cutter, sneaking behind opponents for easy baskets.  She is also a very good defender.  She usually guards the opposing team’s best player.  Look for the All-District talent to make the All-Region team next season.

Anika is a starting guard for Hatton-Northwood and someone who has big time potential as a basketball player. She is an incredible athlete – particularly with her speed, quickness, and jumping ability. Her athletic ability is what makes her such an intriguing prospect. She moves like an All-Region player should move. If she improves her skills, she will find herself on that elusive team at some point in her career.
