About Anissa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Methodical, Versatile, and Team-Oriented play.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Resilient, Calm, and Observant as I continue to grow on and off the court. Enjoy having fun with teammates and those around me as time continues.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As a two-year, I have had the opportunity to learn from upperclassmen on expectations and standards. Given an opportunity to coach in a community youth soccer league. Work and talk with teammates during sessions and games.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Adjusting daily schedules to meet higher Academic and Athletic pursuits. Transferring to HCA brought challenges that have helped me grow overall. Currently, I am maintaining a 4.0 while taking dual-enrollment courses at two universities. As a starter on the 2026 TAPPS State Championship-winning team, the requirements of game schedules, practices, and other activities are higher.

What type of college are you looking for?

Interested in a College that will allow me to continue my overall growth. Opportunities to learn, grow, and play are important to me. I am leaning towards a degree in Business.

Anissa is a smooth shifty guard who knows the game on a deeper level, reading 3 to 4 plays ahead of the whole. Challenged opponents find it difficult to maneuver around Sanchez as she utilizes defensive jab steps, almost requiring corrective action. The tough talented guard has a complete catalog of around the rim finishes and is a master manipulator of the basketball. Anissa’s future is nothing but a flurry of possibility.

Sanchez was yet another #sizedontmatter guard I caught who just went hard as soon as she stepped on the floor, warm-up included. Her baseline-to-baseline pressure was solid and that, as well as her quick hands, helped to create turnovers. She also scored and dished off the dribble, her court vision in the set as well as in transition was also nice and she did a good job of dropping the jumper, mid to long-range
