About Anna

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Smart, aggressive and versatile. I need to know all five spots on the floor depending on what team I'm playing with and who we match up against.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Quiet until you get to know me. People are sometimes surprised by that when they see my aggressiveness on court. Lead by example and not afraid to speak up. Even demeanor in high- and low-stress situations.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Not yet in High School. In grade school at St. Mary of the Lakes in NJ. • Mission Club ('23, '24, '25), TV Crew ('24), Burlington County Quiz Bowl ('24), Thanksgiving Dinner Volunteer ('24), Diocese of Trenton PTA Essay Contest Winner ('23), Art Contest Winner – Fashion Show Program Cover ('25) and Enrichment Program ('23, '24, '25)

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Being a student-athlete with diverse interests ranging from educational activities (math, reading, Quiz Bowl competitions) to sports (basketball, field hockey) to community involvement (volunteering at school and in community), I've developed qualities that enable me to be an active participant and leader in different situations.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My dad took a new job, and we moved from New York to New Jersey in August 2021 - just before I started 5th grade. I was nervous moving - living in a new place, meeting new people and having to make new friends and learn a different routine was a lot to think about. In addition to basketball, I joined activities (field hockey, musicals and clubs) to meet as many people as possible.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm early in the process, so honestly not sure yet. I want to play basketball competitively and - whatever I decide to major in - want to be in an accredited program.
