She made advanced reads, including drift and hammer passes to shooters in the corners—plays that require both vision and timing. Her long strides allow her to get into the paint, where she can either finish or create for others. She initiates fastbreaks with strong outlet passes and keeps the ball moving. Defensively, she’s alert and active, picking pockets and forcing turnovers. A high IQ guard who elevates the players around her.

Annaka recorded 11 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals in a 69-66 overtime loss to Heard County. She sank a straightaway three, went coast-to-coast for a layup and converted a steal into a hoop. Hembree got to the foul line multiple times, shooting 4-6. Annaka has a high skill level. She is capable of playing both on and off the ball. She is at her best when she is aggressive – a slithery slasher. Continuing to grow physically and mentally with her confidence will allow her to reach her high ceiling.
