is a player who truly has it all; her stamina, her enthusiasm, her confidence, and her scrappy gameplay all contribute to making Anniston such an integral piece of her team. There was nary a time when Anniston appeared confused or unsure of herself. Every move she made was executed with purpose and pure confidence, making her performance so engaging to watch. At one point in the game, Anniston was thundering down the court with the ball in possession as her opponents were hot on her trail. Thinking fast, she quickly passed the ball to her teammates just as a player from the opposing team reached her. Anniston never showed any hesitation when making that decision, which showed just how confident she is in her abilities on the court.
Anniston was never afraid to be right in the middle of the action; several times, she would quickly steal the ball right out from under the grasp of her opponents and pass the ball to her teammates. Anniston’s stamina was quite remarkable. I don’t recall ever seeing her winded or out of energy. She was like the energizer bunny, sprinting up and down the court with the ball in hand, never losing steam. Her sunny disposition and overflowing enthusiasm were so beautiful to see in her gameplay; you could obviously tell just how much Anniston enjoys playing basketball; her energetic spark helped keep the momentum high through the entire match.

The Newkirk forward was Woo’s most consistent scorer. Her scoring repertoire included catching and finishing off the cut, whirling and using other ball skills to beat defenders off the dribble and hitting mid-range jumpers. On both ends she was always around the bucket. While she filled multiple positions on both ends her current skill set is is ideal on the wing or playing the stretch or point forward spots.

Troutman has a solid frame and was the team’s consistent scorer, filled it up in a variety of ways. Flashing and catching for finishes, whirling and using a variety of other maneuvers to get to the bucket off the bounce and hitting mid-range jumpers. Flashes and catches well. Finish on the move off the catch. Troutman was always around the bucket.

Troutman caught the eye of my colleague Jeremy Brooks last May at the Kansas City Clash. The strong paint presence will put together multiple moves and knock down pressure shots.

Anniston Troutman hit a big time three pointer from the Wing on Saturday morning for her Woo Elite 15U team with 11 seconds left in their contest. This tied everything up at 36-36 and eventually, it got them into OT. Troutman stands at 5’9 and she plays off of two feet with a solid base. It doesn’t matter if she is five inches from the rim or 15 feet. She does a great job playing with a great center of balance. She has the ability to get to two and pump fake or step through for a plethora of different looks. Obviously, she can also step into shots from deep when need be. Over the entirety of the weekend, Troutman stood out as a solid prospect to notice.
