Munoz is one of the top two way players in the Southern Arizona 2028 class. She has a very high defensive IQ and good speed to go with it. Her on ball defense is top notch, applying pressure the length of the court forcing turnovers and accounting for many steals. She ranked 18th in the state with 5.7 steals per game and had a season high 11 steals vs Rio Rico. Munoz attacks the basket with confidence scoring very well through contact. She sees the court very well and makes great plays. She averaged 3.3 assists and had a season high of 9 assists against Mountain View. She can shoot the ball very well. Just a talented overall guard. She was selected to First Team 5A Southern Region.

Munoz just wrapped up her sophomore season and the future continues to look bright for her. She brought her career totals to 546 points, 260 rebounds and 263 steals. She is a very impactful two way guard who continues to show out. Munoz led Nogales into the 5A state playoffs the number 6 seed. She averaged 11.8 points, 3.3 assists, 4.5 rebounds and 5.7 steals per game. She is a force defender you is simply unphased by opposing guards. She has great speed and tremendous court vision. She continues to develop into a great player and no question she’ll start to gain the right attention in her junior and senior tears.

Arlette Munoz Arlette Munoz 5'6" | PG Nogales | 2028 State AZ is one of the top 2028’s in Arizona in my opinion. She is a terrific shooter from all 3 levels. She is an excellent ball handler that can handle the ball in pressure situations. She is also a good passer that sees the floor well and gets the ball to open players consistently. Arlette can also defend well and her length and athleticism can cause fits for other guards.

Munoz is an overall play maker. Her elite IQ and ability to see the floor along with her speed allows her to make high level plays. She has a very calm demeanor but she is a fierce defender. Unofficially she accounted for four steals in the first half alone and forced many bad passes. Munoz has a very strong mid range jump shot and scored a few times driving baseline for a floater. She can slice through the defense and can finish the bucket with either hand off the glass. Munoz will continue to rise the ranks in the 2028 class.

Arlette Munoz Arlette Munoz 5'6" | PG Nogales | 2028 State AZ made 1st team All Region as a Freshman last season, and the expectations for this young star are sky high. She is an excellent ball handler especially in pressure situations and she is very poised for a young player in big moments. She is a good shooter especially off the dribble in mid-range. Look for Munoz to be one of the best players to come out of Nogales and possibly propel her team to a State Title before her career is done.

Arlette Munoz Arlette Munoz 5'6" | PG Nogales | 2028 State AZ had a breakout season as a freshman for Nogales, and she has cemented herself as one of the Top 2028’s in Southern Arizona. She is a versatile guard that can defend multiple positions and has a very high basketball IQ. She is a good defender that can turn defense into offense very quickly. She is an excellent 3 point shooter and she has a nice mid range shot and can hit floaters in the paint with regularity. Arlette will be playing in the prestigious Convocato-Ria Nacional Elite Summer Classic in Mexico. She has a chance to make the Mexican National team at this event.

Munoz is one of the up and coming guards in Southern AZ. A player that gets the entire team involved. Shes a two way player and averaged 5 assists and 5 steals in the games I saw. Very smart with her decision making, didn’t really seem to get rushed by the opponents pressure. High percentage shooter. Very quick with the ball. The improvement I’ve seen Munoz make in the last year is impressive. Just entering her Sophomore year Arlette will be a sought after guard should she continue making the strides in her game that she is.

She is an excellent all around talent that can shoot, handle the ball, play defense, and she is not intimidated by pressure situations. She is a very dedicated athlete that is hyper focused on becoming one of the best to ever come out of Nogales HS.

She scored on some terrific drives with a combination of euro-steps and floaters that were spectacular. She is very poised for a Freshman under pressure, and is a solid defender. The upside is high for this young star.
