Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Playing defense aggressively with great effort and attitude is the backbone of my game. Many things happen in games that I can't control but I can always control my effort and attitude. I am a solid ballhandler with a consistent jump shot who always looks to shoot off the catch or dribble, and attack gaps to create scoring opportunities for my teammates and I.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

As a year-round multi sport athlete (volleyball, basketball, track, softball) playing with high confidence and trusting all the hard work I put in fuels my competitiveness and enjoyment. Two things are certain. I know I will make mistakes and I always look to make the next play. My favorite quote is "no one who ever gave his best regretted it". My favorite athlete is Steph Curry.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am always on the Honor Roll for having straight A's.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Team communication is a skill that my 7th grade coach had helped me improve this season. Like calling out screens, switching screens, calling cutters, calling ball in transition, and helping my teammates get setup correctly in different offenses and zone defenses. My 13u AAU coach Lance really helped me become a more confident player this year.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had patellar tendinitis in my right knee in 6th grade basketball which was hard to play through. I played a lot of game minutes for my 11u and 12u basketball AAU teams but I wasn't a starter which was tough. I really wanted to be a starter. The hard work I put in from end of 12u to start of 13u gave me the opportunity to now be a full-time starter for my 13u basketball AAU team.
