Roper is a bucket! She’s quick off the dribble, with a crossover that will get defenders guessing and she’ll pull up for a swish from three. Off the dribble, she maintains balance even when bumped and can hit tough runners and similar shots in the mid-range. Gets after it on the defensive end to quickly turn defense into offense with deflections and out right “give me that” steals or blocks. One of the more complete scorers in the class, who honestly has probably been a bit too much under the radar for her career. Has gone for 43 points this season and is over 1,000 points for her career now.

Roper is a pure bucket getter and she’s producing for a feisty Claremore team. She went off for 36 points and 7 rebounds in their semifinals win over Kiefer. Claremore would then beat Salina 63-36 over Salina to win the Big Dawg shootout. Roper had 29 points in the title game. The Lady Zebras are now 5-0 headed into the a big district game against Durant on Tuesday.

Roper is averaging 17 a game while helping the Lady Zebras stay competitive in a tough 5A district. Is a quality shooter from even a few steps beyond the three point line, with a good quicker release. Along with the scoring, she often fills up the stat sheet by helping out as a rebounder. And is a battler on the defensive end when it comes to forcing steals, on and off the ball. Quality do it all guard, who’s production is notable and should be a priority for regional small colleges this spring and summer.

Asia is a very good point guard with a tremendous ability to bring the ball up court with her eyes up. She has great length and uses it well on both ends of the floor. She showed good vision in the offensive portions of practice where she hit open teammates with precision passing. She also does a great job of driving the rim and finishing through contact. Only a 2026, Asia is one of the many young players Coach Hall has that are most definitely worth keeping an eye on as the years go by.
