No one plays harder than Aspen and or is more competitive. Multiple times in the game I watched as she got by her defender and to the rim. A couple of times, on a rare miss, Aspen would sprint past everyone on the court from baseline to baseline in transition defense after she shot. She has sneaky good ball handling and a knack for drawing contact and getting to the free throw line. Aspen routinely finishes around and over taller defenders and is a good shooter from three. Her on-ball pressure impacts opposing point guards’ ability to get their team into offensive sets and creates turnovers for her team. She is the kind of kid every coach wants on their team.

Aspen is the kind of player every coach wants on their team. She is not afraid to do the dirty work on defense or fighting inside with the bigs for rebounds. Powers who was probably the smallest player in the game was one of, if not, the leading rebounder finishing with 8 for Murray County. She also added four steals and three assists to go with five points. She plays with no fear and creates extra possessions with her energy and effort on defense creating steals and getting deflections. She is another player who maximizes her effort on every play providing a spark for her team when they need it. She is also a vocal leader whose positivity has a great impact on her team.

Powers, like Hadley, did a little bit of everything from getting steals to taking charges to creating extra possessions for Murray by tying up the ball on defense and grabbing offensive rebounds. Powers scored from the midrange and had a very nice and one play after a nice head fake from three that shook the defender and finishing at the rim through contact for the and one. Powers plays with no fear and is a vocal leader as a sophomore. She is a fiery competitor who will be a huge factor as Murray County tries to make another deep run in the Georgia high school state playoffs.
