Athena is a dynamic lefty guard known for her quickness off the dribble and sharp basketball IQ, allowing her to exploit defensive weak spots effortlessly. She boasts an excellent deep shot, consistently stretching the floor and creating scoring opportunities. In the paint, Athena finishes smoothly through contact, showcasing both finesse and resilience. Complementing her offensive prowess, she plays tenacious defense, contributing significantly to her team’s outstanding season.

Athena has been thriving in her new scenery at Sammamish. She is one of the top scorers on the squad but can also play the point guard position if she needs to set up teammates for easy buckets. She shoots it lights out from deep, having a lightning quick release. She has been making big plays for her team who are fighting to make it to state.

A standout electric guard, she showcases a smooth offensive game, effortlessly controlling the pace and flow. Her scoring ability shines from all three levels, whether it’s driving to the basket, pulling up for mid-range shots, or sinking deep threes with ease. Not only a scoring threat, she displays exceptional court vision, consistently finding open teammates for impactful assists. Her dynamic skill set makes her an invaluable asset, blending scoring prowess with outstanding playmaking abilities.

As Athena heads into her junior year, her game is going to take a big step. She was stellar last season all year, playing consistent and steady for her squad all year. She plays with grit and heart while on the court, always going 100% and giving her teammates everything she has. She attacks the bucket really well with both hands and can finish through contact smoothly.

She continues to impress me with how proficient she is from behind the arc. Not only is she efficient finding and making shots from outside, but she has a pretty sure handle and some quickness that she shows off in quick one or two dribble moves to fake drives and step back or side step defenders. She’ll be a key player for Bellevue this winter as a floor spacer but don’t underestimate her ability to put it on the floor and attack.

Athena really stood out a few weeks back at the PGH WA Top 250 Expo, making impactful plays all day long. She can shoot the three really well, sinking shots on or off ball with ease. Her handles are solid and she keeps the ball close to her, rarely turning it over. Labow has a quick reaction time on defense, creating turnovers for herself and her teammates.

She shot the ball extremely well from 3-point range and was pretty much lights out from deep to start the day off. Did a great job staying low on the attack to quickly change directions, burst out of dribble moves, and blow by her defender. Showed a pretty multi-dimensional offensive game with her shooting and ability to create off the dribble.

Athena was one of the top players throughout the entire day. She has strong handles, being quick with the ball and getting downhill well all day. She hit jumpers throughout the whole day, hitting a ton of pull up jumpers when the defense wasn’t expecting it. She has a smooth lefty floater through the paint and showed good change of pace on the offensive side of the ball.

Athena is super dynamic on the offensive end and can break down her defender in so many ways. She has a great handle on the ball, and can use those skills to either blow by her defender and get into the paint, or find space to hit a jumper. The effort she gives on the defensive end is also noticeable and shows she can make a difference without the ball as well. Watch out for Athena to be making a ton of great plays going forward.
