Boyer is a physical, aggressive guard who is really intent on attacking gaps and getting to the hoop. She is a guard who can grind defenders down and use her strength once she gets that initial angle in order to get to the hoop. She’s also a pretty creative passer and shows good awareness to make reads on both sides of the court in transition.

Cerise played fantastic in Ohio for NW Blazers over the live period. She runs the court well, being able to finish in transition and fill the lanes correctly. She attacks from the wing smoothly, using her fundamentals to get down-hill and get deep in the paint. Boyer plays off 2 feet and knows when to kick it out or finish at/around the rim.

Boyer is a sneaky good guard for Sammamish who should step into a much larger role next season with their senior point guard recently graduating. Boyer definitely has the feel and IQ to run the show. She’s confident with the rock, makes great reads on when to attack gaps, and can slip by her defender using hesitations and little changes of speed. She’s also a guard who can score the rock. She has a nice touch inside and really sees attacking angles well, along with having good strength to work through contact on her way inside. Boyer should continue to rise the ranks and already has a pretty mature approach to the game.
