About Aubrey

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play with a lot of passion, aggressive defensive, pushing the ball up the floor to get it to my teammates to make plays, shoot from all over the court.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I strive to continually work to improve my skills and fundamentals. I am very positive on a daily basis and cheer my teammates on while playing. My goals are to push myself to become better than I am right now.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in Louisville Shoot360, Beta Club, Jr. and I in was in a leadership position in the club. I received all As and Bs awards. I received most improved Freshman when I was in the 8th grade, two 100% effort awards in basketball, the hustle award, coaches award and team captain award.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have learned how to speak up more when needed. How to communicate better, how to show instructions to teammates that are younger and learned to take criticism for my mistakes and learn from them.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I had to sit out several games because I wasn’t playing the best and I lost my confidence. I had to go into practice and really work my hardest to earn my starting spot back, but also learn how to believe in myself and my abilities again. It was difficult but I was finally able to remember that my coaches, teammates and mom all knew I could do it and I just had to believe in myself too.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would like to go to UofL, but since I am shorter I would love to go to a college and go where I can continue playing basketball and build on my skills and talents.
