Byron Xerxes Livsey | Prep Girls Hoops Scout
Mahoney has one of the smoothest releases in this class and the state as a whole. Shes been a key player for her HS program for the past couple of years, and this season has been the same. She spaces the floor, and can score off the cut as well.

Audrey’s form is textbook. Smooth, quick, high arched and as fluid as they come. With a State Three Point contest trip and a top finalist selection on her resume, she’s been stamped as one of Illinois’s elite snipers. From the paint to the logo.. Audrey has no range on her jumper. On the move, off the dribble.. off the screen.. she’s just accurate.

Shooters shoot, and that’s what Audrey did Saturday. In game 1 (for sure game of the day), Mahoney was key to the Fires win. She hit a couple all net three balls that got the team back into focus, and ultimately won them the game. Most lefty’s have the pure, quick and correct form.. she has it.

If you’ve come across a St Ignatius game, you’ve noticed a lefty post player who has one of the smoothest releases in the state. The new addition to the Mac Irvin Family, has cemented herself as one of the top shooters in Illinois regardless of her class. From the midrange to beyond the arc, Audrey can let it fly. The arc is high, the release is quick and the strength to get it off from deep is evident too. Mahoney will be showcasing that skill on of the best programs in the state this summer.

Lefty’s are known to have the best shots in this sport.. and when you watch Audrey shoot the ball, she backs up the stigma. The fluidity, the arc, the concentration.. her shot is mechanically perfect. When you match that with the strength, Mahoney has the potential to be a true stretch 4 at the collegiate level. The St. Ignatius program has leveled up this year, and Audrey has been a strong piece to what they’re doing.
