Below are my Top Shooters of the day. (Ranking update will be released Thursday!)
Giordano was able to show off the deep ball skill throughout the camp, and her confidence to keep taking them was obvious too. She can shoot off the catch, standstill or off the dribble. Even though she’s not biggest player on the court, her shooting skill can’t be dismissed. A legitimate knockdown shooter who will continue to progress as she goes through circuit season.
An aggressive guard who can do whatever you need of her, but the shooting seems to be her main weapon. Emily can let it fly from all over the court, no matter what the defense is throwing her way. She has some bounce to her dribble the forces the defense to sag off because she’s just as much as a threat on the drive. A top shooter in her class, and she will be making some noise when her program Game Time hits the court this AAU season.
If you’ve come across a St Ignatius game, you’ve noticed a lefty post player who has one of the smoothest releases in the state. The new addition to the Mac Irvin Family, has cemented herself as one of the top shooters in Illinois regardless of her class. From the midrange to beyond the arc, Audrey can let it fly. The arc is high, the release is quick and the strength to get it off from deep is evident too. Mahoney will be showcasing that skill on of the best programs in the state this summer.
Highlights
Rubino can simply shoot the ball. She moves throughout the court with a steady but purposeful pace that allows her to find her spots to get her shot off. From 15ft and out she will ring off 5+ straight (all net) if the defense doesn’t react and adjust correctly. Her poise and deameanor go hand in hand with how she responds to her rare misses. Looking forward to seeing how she separates herself on the adidas circuit this summer with M14 this summer.
Highlights
Garcia has the confidence that every shooter needs. No matter if they’re falling or not, she will shoot. Which goes to show you how much she believes in her shot. Before the camp even started, Garcia was one of the early players on the court getting some shots up.. but not just random shots, she got reps in that she knew she’d take in the game. A very talented guard who will be a key piece to the emerging top tier program Pink Elite . Great potential.

Towne, who was technically the youngest player at the camp.. showed no lack of “youth” when she was putting on a shooting show. Wether it was the stepbback, off the catch, or a simple “i dare you” shot, Sophia made her defenders regret it. She has a quick release and shows no hesitation no matter where she’s located on the court. She’s for sure making herself known has a top shooter in her class. High potential.
