of Iowa City High is going to be a killer at the next level because of her tenacious attitude, smooth skill set, and her ability to lead her team by example on or off of the basketball. City High really goes as far as Palmer takes them in a sense, so her having a good contest in this one is important. She is going to be matched up against a D1 Drake commit, so it’s going to be fun to see how they choose to defend each other. Both players are pretty automatic in what they do so it will all come down to who can execute at a higher rate than the other.

is coming back to IC – City High for one last time as she looks to solidify her high school career. Palmer has been a star ever since she was a Freshman at West Branch. After transferring to City, the question was always if she could compete at that high level and the answer is a resounding yes. Since then, Palmer has committed to reigning D2 Champs – Minnesota State and she is excited to see where that could take her. This is someone that is very determined in her mindset. Anything she puts her mind to, she accomplishes and that can be a very powerful weapon in not only the game of basketball, but the game of life.

of City High – High School. Palmer is a D2 committed guard, with a lot of promise when she possesses the basketball coming down the floor. After seeing her Little Hawks team compete a few weeks ago at the DCG Shootout, you can tell that this upcoming season could be a special one for this group. They bring back a lot of pieces from a year ago and Palmer will be ready to lead per usual. In this Update, she moves up to the #19 spot right before this important month of July. If she continues to produce just like she has up until this point, her and her team’s are going to look top notch over these next couple of months. Something very doable at this point in the grand scheme of things.

of City High – High School committed to D2 Minnesota State to continue on her basketball journey once her high school career comes to a close and I’m hoping she has her best season-to-date leading up to that this Winter. Palmer is a shifty PG, that can create off the catch or dribble at a high rate. She is an effortless scorer once she gets downhill with the basketball attacking her opponent and a very good leader when she can control her team’s offensive rhythm. Next week she should be dishing out dimes and killing it at this event. Her commitment should give her a new found confidence and if that’s the case, everyone better watch out this upcoming season.

has been a talented PG ever since she was a Freshman on the Varsity Floor at West Branch High School. After her Freshman season, she transferred to City High where she did not skip a beat. Instead, she seem to become better against a higher level of competition. Palmer is a Guard with a nasty handle, quick feet, and a strong demeanor when taking the ball to the hoop on any given possession. She is a for sure college level PG but I’m not sure where to as of yet. She can produce, she can make others better, and she has a good attitude. Taking all this into consideration and she should have a lot of options. Before last high school season she did take a few visits to some D2 programs but that’s about it. As long as she plays well these next few months, those recruiting calls should continue to keep on coming in.

of City High. Palmer, a 5’10 Point Guard, left it all on the court and did all that she could to try and help her team come out with a win. I’ve seen Palmer a handful of times now in person and she does some things really well. She has a great offensive demeanor to attack the hoop on every possessions with the skill-set to match. There are times or were in this game, when I thought she could have kept it more simple. As in just attacking the rim and going through the defender compared to hitting multiple counter moves prior. Other than that, I thought she had a productive evening. She is going to be a good college player in a few years, she just needs to continue to grind and expand her game.

. Ever since Palmer was a freshman she has been putting up some big numbers. She started off her High School career at West Branch and dominated that conference, afterwards for her Sophomore season she transferred to City High in Iowa City to finish out her high school career. In most situations, it would take a player time to adapt but not Palmer. She came into City High and stepped on the floor right away, putting up some more big numbers in the 5A class. A big jump from her previous 2A competition level. As of most recent, Palmer has taken some college visits and had some solid D2 interest but it’s still up in the air where she will end up. There is no doubt that she is a college level talent. She just needs to find the correct fit for herself.

s skill-set has always been above and beyond most her age as a guard. She has shifty movements side to side, keeps everything efficient, can pass and rebound with the best of them, and is a big fan of physical play. Not to mention that she has games where she can really score the ball at a high rate from behind the three point arc. This AAU season Palmer has been breaking ankles, taking names, and letting everyone know that she is a guard not to be trifled with. I expect this high school season for her to be as dominate as ever. She has every gift and ability to put something really special together at IC-City High.
