signed with UNLV in November. The 6-foot-1 senior forward/guard is a three-level scorer and a versatile defender. Bergeson led all scorers with 20 points, 9 rebounds, 5 steals, 2 assists, and 2 blocks in La Salle’s season opener against Nelson. She took shifts running the point and took care of the ball. She was a creative and elite finisher around the rim. Bergeson never gave up and fought to keep her team in it through four quarters. She was the top performer on the court on Tuesday night.

brings that edge every team needs. She’s a tough, physical wing who competes on both ends of the floor. She rebounds in traffic, defends with purpose, and finishes through contact without flinching. Her size and strength make her a problem around the rim, but she can also step out and knock down shots, forcing defenders to play her honest. Ava doesn’t need the ball in her hands to make an impact—she cuts hard, crashes the glass, and does the dirty work. She can stretch the floor, get downhill, and make the right reads in transition. On defense, she’s active and disciplined, always in the right spot and ready to contest. She’s a leader by example—focused, composed, and consistent. Never loud, never showy, just always locked in. Ava doesn’t chase attention—she earns respect with how she plays, and her presence sets the tone every time she steps on the floor.

was named to the Class 5A All-State Second Team, is a motivational leader in the locker room, and has a high ceiling. The 6-foot-1 forward/guard is an athletic finisher from all three levels and crashes the offensive boards. She creates her own shot and has a soft touch inside. She has a wicked ball fake and burst-by and is fast enough to beat the help defender to the rim. Bergeson takes care of the ball. She has strong handling, vision, and passing skills. She can launch a full-court assist and whip the cross-court pass. Her defense is tough. She’s quick enough to defend the perimeter, her long wingspan gives her an edge when she contests in the paint, and she cleans up the boards. Bergeson averaged a double-double — over 15 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists (>1 assist to turnover ratio), and 2 steals per game — and was named the Northwest Oregon Conference Co-Player of the Year in her junior season.

is one of Oregon’s finest on the hardwood. She is a double-double machine who absolutely dominated any matchup that was thrown at her all season in her sophomore year. Bergeson has excellent length with her 6’1 size that college coaches will love, especially considering that she is skilled enough to play nearly any position on the floor. She was an easy choice for first team all-Northwest Oregon Conference, and the future looks incredibly bright as she heads into the second half of her high school career.
