Ava Casey Ava Casey 5'5" | PG Hoosick Falls | 2025 State NY starts for her Varsity team as a Sophomore and that does say something when you consider that they have multiple D1 recruits on the roster. Casey is a PG that leads tempo, pace of play, and she makes sure that everyone is in the correct spots whenever they are getting into their sets on the offensive side of the ball. Defensively, she is a mixture of annoying and suffocating. She slowly takes space away from the opponent in front of her and that leads to active steals in the full court. Over the next 2.5 seasons, Casey will continue to be their main piece at the PG along with a few select others. Her sister just happened to commit to the college level and I wouldn’t be shocked if Ava is in the same situation down the line.

Ava Casey Ava Casey 5'5" | PG Hoosick Falls | 2025 State NY at the PG position proved last night that she is going to be a staple of this program over the next three years with her ability to handle and control their offense. Casey is a Sophomore but she is young on hardwood. You can the just by watching her play but she also shows a ton of promise. Last night Southeast Polk’s strategy on defense was to force ball-handlers to the left and Casey did a good job of working on attacking those open lanes with a nifty crossover as the game dwindled down. All in all, this is a pass first, calm and composed prospect we are talking about here. I expect her to take strides over these next few seasons. She did a good job showing out last night as one of the best underclassman on the floor between both team’s, which speaks volumes.

Ava Casey Ava Casey 5'5" | PG Hoosick Falls | 2025 State NY of IC – Liberty is a PG that is “next-up” for their program. As a Freshman last Winter, Casey stepped onto the Varsity floor and did a respectable job of holding her own in most situations. This Winter, she will return for another season and be a piece of her team’s journey once again as they try to put together a season to remember. By the looks of it, this group is returning A TON of talent from years past. When you combined that with the fact that their coaching staff has experience and returns all of their personal, you see how a big run could start to unfold this next six months with the Bolts. As for Casey, I expect to hear a lot about her in the local papers this Winter with her production. She could make some positive things happen in more ways than one throughout the rest of her high school career. There is no doubt in my mind about that.
