Ava is a skilled finisher who can score effectively with either hand around the basket. She excels off ball screens, whether shooting, driving, or finding the open center for an assist. Her quick footwork allows her to get shots off immediately, and her high-level shooting will translate well to the next level. Ava is committed to play at Stonehill College next year.

Ava is a sensational point guard talent. She’s a offensive firecracker that plays with exceptional pace. Considering the level of point guards she faces on the regular throughout her career, Dwyer’s skills have been sharp for a while now. There’re not too many point guards that can do what she does on the floor. The ball never sticks with her, she gets shooters the ball in the right position, gets quality looks off despite the level of defense in front of her and is a leader on the floor. Not to mention the confidence she plays with. Ava is quite reliable when the ball is in her hands. She’s trusted to make the right reads and her boldness gives her an edge on competitors. With all these qualities as well as the tendency to raise her degree of play when facing elite talent, Dwyer is a point that many schools would want,

Ava is a player that’ll certainly get heavy college interest in the near future. Dwyer has stepped up extraordinarily in ways that have elevated her squad. She’s been a playmaker that has potent scoring capabilities throughout the stretch of the game. Dwyer scored her 1000th point recently and was just up for PGH’s Player of the Week award for her latest performances. Ava is a tremendous talent that stands out among a sea of point guards in NEPSAC.

The All-ISL Honorable Mention point guard for Groton is a well-grounded floor general that makes plays for others and herself. The facilitation combined with an even scoring attack and timely dishes to her teammates make her a top pg in the class. Dwyer is strong, but stays low to the ground in her attack which create openings for teammates. The angled takes to the rim lead to her getting contact at the rim and getting to the free-throw line. Ava is a solid defender that can be switchable depending on the situation. Last year she averaged 12 ppg and almost 3 assists. Dwyer is coming into the season as the #5 point guard in the class.

I saw Ava play on Sunday. She had a standout game and helped her team win a close game against Mass Elite. She is a smooth player, with tight handles and a good feel for the game. She did not panic against the Mass Elite pressure, and was able to dribble through it or make the smart passes. She did a good job running the offense. She had a good shooting day, and made a number of big three pointers down the stretch. She has a good shooting touch, and a quick release. She is a playmaking and high IQ guard. This was not the first time I saw her play, but she continued to impress me. I think Ava will be an impact player for Groton this coming season.

Ava is a Point Guard, who does what ever she can to help the team. Her drive and determination is unmatched, and she has a great attitude on the floor. In the tournament she was able to score in multiple ways. She could get to the rim, score in transition, shoot from the outside, and also score off screens or cuts. She is a Point Guard who can facilitate the offense, and is a leader on the floor. Ava is a good two player, and showed in particular at the showcase, how she has a variety of ways she can score.
