Ava Hale Ava Hale 5'6" | SG Estill County | 2026 State KY had a solid sophomore campaign for  Estill County, a team that had a pretty good run in the postseason, but suffered losses to Owsley County in the district and regional title games. Ava is a knocked-down shooter from three that is capable of draining several 3’s in a game, when she has the hot-hand. She is a disruptive defender and a good rebounder as well. Ava averaged 7 points a game along with 3.4 rebounds and made the 14 region all-tournament team. After losing the top two scorers to graduation, I believe her numbers will go up next season as she will be relied on a lot more to produce on offense as a junior for the Lady Engineers.

Hale has a lot of long term potential as a scoring guard for an Estill County team that is very young but also quite talented. Ava is a volume scorer who didn’t shoot the ball great in her freshman season but has a chance to see her scoring averages blossom as her shooting efficiency improves over her career.
