Ava unfortunately went down with a season-ending injury and missed Horace’s final 13 games. Her absence was felt immediately and was a challenge for the Hawks to overcome. She brings a lot to the floor on both sides. She is a tough and ornery defender. She isn’t afraid of anyone and certainly isn’t afraid of being physical. She was really missed offensively as well. She was a consistent third scoring option for Horace behind

. Without Larson, Horace was much easier to defend. She stretches the floor with her lights out three-point shooting. She finished the season shooting 36% from deep. I hope Ava is able to heal up this offseason and come back next season stronger than ever.

Ava has excelled in her role as sharp shooter for a talented Horace team. She gets her feet lined up and is an easy target for her teammates to find. She is shot ready and shoots in rhythm which has led her to a 42% three-point percentage. She is a top outside threat in the EDC and makes Horace very difficult to defend. She plays solid defense and is a good rebounder.

Ava Larson Ava Larson 5'9" | CG Horace | 2027 State ND was a key role player off of the bench on the State Champion Horace Hawks. She is going to see her minutes increase dramatically next season with the graduation of three starters on the varsity. She is a good sized guard and can compete defensively. She is an absolute sniper from behind the arc, finishing the season shooting just under 41% from three. She will help space the floor next season for Horace.

Ava is an excellent reserve player for the Hawks. She is able to come in and defend and is an outstanding three-point shooter, shooting 44% from behind the arc. She has accepted her role and plays it well. She will have her time to shine in the future when some of her older teammates graduate. She can be a key to Horace winning a lot of games this season. She hit two critical threes against Shanley that helped get Horace back into the game, one they eventually ended up winning.
