When Pensule began making things happen for the Warriors off the bench, Indian Land’s fortunes changed against Region 3-AAAAA rival Catawba Ridge. Pensule ultimately concluded her Tuesday evening with 10 points in that 37-23 win over the Copperheads for her team’s first region victory of 2024-25. Pensule is an effective ball handler and passer who will find lanes to drive to the cup and she has no problems drawing contact to get to the free throw line. Five of Pensule’s 10 points occurred at the charity stripe. In addition, seven of Pensule’s 10 were scored in the second quarter alone.

was making some nice adjustments getting the opening with her handles and knocking down the shot. She controlled the tempo knowing when to push it up the court or slow it down to get an offensive set. She always moved well without the ball making sure she could get the pass to help her teammates.

Pensule made a solid first impression on us here at Prep Girls Hoops. Ava surely played confident from behind the arc. She connected on some three pointers with her accurate shooting from downtown. Ava was able to get her shot off without a hitch and always seemed to be pocket ready to receive the ball.
