About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as consistent. I try to find overall balance on the court. If my shooting percentage is low, I always try to make it up in other ways. I always try to be relentless and give my all, be scrappy, and not afraid to get on the floor.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a very bubbly, sociable person. Mentally I try to be as tough as I can or as my coach would say "master of uncertainty". I try to live by the fact of its not a bad game unless I did not give my all.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in multiple non-profits at my school including Young life, Toy story, and next year will be taking over Best Buddies (An all inclusive club that brings opportunity to the neurodivergent.) And will be in the president spot. I also help out with our school teams Unified sports and am a peer athlete.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have been captain of both my basketball teams (x2) and my flag football team, which has gave me great leadership, communication skills. I have done some community service work such as volunteering at middle schools and FMSC. Teamwork comes from all of my teams and clubs I am involved in.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I have suffered from 2 major injuries 1 being a broken ankle which included 2 surgeries, and recently tearing my meniscus recently and waiting for surgery.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that has a solid psychology program that specifically focuses on Children development, mental health, and or trauma.
