About Ava

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a taller guard who pushes the pace of the game. I shoot the 3 well and look to get downhill at the rim. I have good court vision and play great in transition.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am hard working and never believe that I have reached my potential as there is always room to grow. I am a strong believer in being a great teammate and leading my team through hard work and loyalty.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved in DECA, Mu Alpha Theta, Student Senate, and National Honors Society.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I tore my ACL and meniscus the summer before my freshman year, resulting in missing out on my first year of varsity high school sports. This taught me to never take the sport I love for granted and that I have to work twice as hard to get back to where I was and to continue to grow. This taught me perseverance, patience, and persistence.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college that will make me feel like I am part of a family with my teammates and coaches, while also giving me a strong learning environment to grow as a person, player, and student.

Concordia out of Seward, NE got a STEAL this past week when Ava Reed Ava Reed Ava Reed 5'10" | PG Scottsbluff | 2026 State NE out of Scottsbluff committed to their program. Reed is a 5’11 PG that can handle, shoot, rebound, and defend. She checks off a lot of boxes that college recruiters might have so it wouldn’t surprises me if she transferred to a D1 level one day in the near future after a successful Freshman campaign on campus. This is someone that isn’t only skilled, she is dedicated to the game and she keeps working to get even better. She doesn’t seem satisfied with any result and that is going to take her places. Not only in this game but in life.
