About Avaieya

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a dynamic playmaker with quick handles and the vision to control the pace of the game. Fearless when attacking the hoop, I thrive on breaking down defenses and creating scoring opportunities for myself and my team. On the other end, I take pride in man-to-man defense, bringing intensity and grit to every matchup. My style is fast, aggressive, and unselfish—built on skill, hustle, and heart.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I can always improve, i can get better and i can always learn more. I am determined at all time to improve and I work hard to show improvements.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

As of now im not involved in any, i have been invited to join college bound which i plan to do once my freshman year starts.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

In many situations i have been placed on taking on leadeship roles such as being 14 year old Point guard on playing with 16 and 17 year olds. I thrive on team work, i know that i cannot win anything on my own especially while playing with my basketball team.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

In my life i have faced many challenges in my life. Most recently was making the decision to join a new team and adapt to being the new player on the team while they all have played together for years. Building back up the chemistry amongst my new team that came naturally on my previous team. I was on the same team from the time i started at 9 years old until the time i was 14.

What type of college are you looking for?

I hoping that i go play for a D1 college or HBCU. I work hard academically to ensure that my options are not limited.

She’s a true playmaker who can also knock down some outside shots, but also does a great job playing off the ball, setting screens, making hard cuts, and recognizing when her teammates need help or space.
