Avanna has been looking good since last watching her. The ’29 guard has always been able to knock down the longball, but she’s also added more movement without the ball as well. It’s not just that though, the vision is pretty impressive too. Her progression as a prospect is worthy of mention.

Avanna is a crafty finisher who consistently converts around the rim. Defensively, she’s a tough on-ball defender who pressures opponents, moves her feet well, and stays disciplined without fouling. She also brings value as a spot-up shooter, knocking down shots confidently from both mid-range and three-point range.

Avanna has the chance to surprise many this spring/summer. She hasn’t had her “coming out party” just yet, but that could very well change in short time. This is a guard to keep an eye on in ’29.

Avanna earned MVP honors at the Prep vs Public Girls Showcase with her strong all-around play. She’s a reliable finisher at the rim and does a great job protecting the ball from defenders. She can knock down threes from the top of the key when left open and consistently makes the right reads, setting up her teammates for easy scoring opportunities.

Avanna is quick, maneuvers around the defense, finishes soft around the rim and has a sweet pullup jumper. The freshman guard is always a fun watch and will be even more entertaining through her high school career.
