About Avelyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a solid ball handler and a pretty strong shooter, especially from mid-range and beyond the arc.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I believe that I have a strong mentality when it comes to basketball. I don't get upset if I mess up or miss a shot. I just move on to the next play and I will work hard to get better so that I don't make the same mistakes again.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am a member of Beta Clubs. My academics means a lot to me. I work hard to make good grades in school.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I have started developing leadership over the years. I love to help others get better and to understand the plays we are running. I'm a good team player. I want to see everyone succeed and improve their game. We have to work as a team if we want to succeed.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I feel that my height is a disadvantage for me. I know that I have to work harder if I want to make it in this sport.

What type of college are you looking for?

My dream has always been to play at Auburn University one day.
