About Averee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Averee is a combo guard that excels in transition. She is also a versatile defender a very underrated passer! She’s also a solid iso scorer with great body control and tough finisher around the rim!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

Averee is a great team player on off the court! She’s mentally tough and loves to support her team! She loves being a family with her team and she tries to help in anyway she can and tries to make the environment fun, while being serious when needed!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Averee goes to youth groups at church. She also is in show choir and they travel to nursing homes to sing and many different places also.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

She helps out with blessings in a backpack, which helps children who don’t always have food to eat on the weekends. They pack bags full of food each week and the bags are handed out at each elementary in our district. She is a 3.7 honor roll student and she helps special needs children at school during study halls. She leads her volleyball and basketball team

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Averee this year was injured for the first four games of the season in basketball, but she did a lot of praying and she helped her team overcome the fear of not having her out on the court with them. She really learned the meaning of a great teammate by supporting and encouraging her teammates to give it all they had. She cheered for everyone and helped them to feel more comfortable while sitting

What type of college are you looking for?

First ,one that will be able to give her the best education so she’s able to support herself and her family! Secondly one that has a great caring coach and teammates! We’ve realized that a a family has to be formed in order for the team to be Champions on and off the court! Third, a team that believes that defense wins championships and everyone wants to be apart of that happening ,unselfishly!
