Even on a down shooting night, Avery made a major impact across the floor. Her defensive activity stood out immediately, blocking three perimeter three-point attempts and showing her ability to cover ground and close space—highlighted by a three-point block on the very first possession of the game. Offensively, she made strong reads, including a well-timed assist out of the pick-and-roll, and was quick getting downhill when lanes opened. She finished effectively in transition and knocked down a smooth pull-up jumper which showed her scoring versatility. Avery’s ability to affect the game in multiple ways went beyond the box score.
