About Avery

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I'm a high-energy guard who attacks the rim and can shoot the 3, I play tough defense and make smart plays. I create opportunities for my teamates.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm a two-way guard who brings energy on defense, applies pressure, and on offense I make smart plays and keep the ball moving. I bring passion and I'm always ready to compete!

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

At this time I currently have a job that I work when not at school or playing basketball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Qualities I've developed in basketball are pushing through tough games, losses, mistakes, and challenges without giving up.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yes, being shorter has presented challenges in basketball. However, it has pushed me to develop strengths such as quickness, ball handling, court vision, and decision-making. I've learned to use my speed and agility to create advantages, stay low on defense, and outwork opponents.

What type of college are you looking for?

I would love to play at any college. It's my dream to be on the court and play professionally!

She doesn’t get out worked and she will pressure you, try to force mistakes and stay active. Loves to distribute the ball, can see up the floor well and make the right pass. Love her grittiness getting to the rim to score, she is not afraid of contact. She also has a good range.
