Mullaghy is one of those players that coaches don’t have to ask a lot out of, simply because she understands how to be effective when she’s playing. She can run the offense from a facilitating standpoint or be a focal part in the offense from a scoring standpoint. She’s tough, she’s aware.. and she seems to be coachable. Players like this are what coaches are searching for every day.

compete, you can tell that she is the definition of a floor general. She might not kill you offensively with scoring the rock but she makes everyone else around her better. She is also an A1 communicator and teammate. She is always willing to get her hands dirty and be the first on the floor for a loose ball or stuff like that. Her effort level is impressive and that was all on full display this weekend in Chicago at the PGH Midwest Extravaganza.

Shooters shoot- and Mullaghy is one that knows how to get to the charity stripe and connect, as well as knock down the 3 ball, mid-range jumper- you name it, she can do it! All-around solid performance!

We’ve said on multiple occasions that this Marist team has a strong sophomore class, and in my opinion, Mullaghy is toward the top of that. She is skilled, quick, aggressive, and plays the game with a ton of energy and confidence. She stood out among 100 players last year, and I’m certain she’ll do the same this weekend.

Lighting fast guard with the ability to play at multiple speeds. She knows how to get to the rim and can make plays happen for herself and those who run with her. Defensively, she can disrupt an entire offense in both the half court and full court, due to her motor and energy.

Explosive and a bolt of energy every time she touches the court. She can maneuver her way through traffic with her ball handling, and her size allows her to be impactful on the defensive end as well. High potential.

Every possession Avery put on display how well her speed and footwork act as one. The ability to switch directions on a dime with the ball, her awareness and quick reflexes on the defensive end, and her non let up attitude is one of her main attributes. The kid plays twice her size and just shows no ounce of fear from start to finish.
