Avery a combo guard that had big games last season looked ready to become more of a scoring threat this season for the Lady Tigers who graduation a heavy load of the scoring last season. A guard that is always moving without the ball looking for the spot up 3 or cutting back door. Tough defender that gives it all she has in between the lines. A senior that should rise in rankings as she will see more court time this season.

If Avery had a great shooting day, I’m sure she’d have made our Top 10. Forced some shots (definitely had some of the best players at camp guarding her) but ended up finding her stroke by the end of the day. Unorthodox shot, but she does a ton of things really well. Made an awesome back door pass to start the 5-on-5 day, throws great drop off passes for post players. Good hustle plays on defense, can even hold her own on post ups. Quick hands, had a few stretches where she would get a steal on consecutive possessions, not easy to do against this type of competition.

A quick PG that can score in many ways. Excellent ball handler that looks to take her defender off the dribble with a series of moves. A ball handler that consistently collapsed the defense by getting paint touches. An outside shooter that keeps the defense honest as well if they play soft. Showed a nice step back move for a jumper breaking off the defender for a 3. Nice decisions when attacking the rim reading the defense for a layup, drop to post or kick to shooter. A guard that can push the tempo with her quickness and vision. Got the vision to hit the lane runner with a no look pass. A guard that knows where she going and what she is looking for in transition.

Game Watched: Swarm National vs JYD 2026
Battled well on both ends of the court, including forcing a jump ball on a taller player. On offense, she’s a quick reactor with a good first step when it comes to attacking gaps. Because of that she gets paint touches, leading to trips to the free throw line or finishing at the rim. Looks to be making a step forward, setting up for a potentially strong year at Mustang.

A shooting guard that has a great skill set. You can tell this young lady works on her craft. Offensively she can shoot the 3, handle the ball, and find the open man for the assist. Moves well without the ball of offense finding the open shot for the kick and knock down 3. Use contact on the drive to create space for a nice step back shot. Understands the game of drive and kick looking for the layup or the kick. Quick hands on defense getting several deflections in the passing lane or knocking the ball out of a drivers hand
