I had a lot of people coming up to me at The Expo, telling me, “that Steelman kid is really good.” It didn’t matter if it was one of the event organizers, a AAU coach, or a college scout, Avery Steelman Avery Steelman 5'8" | SG Cabot | 2029 State AR was putting everybody on notice.

Steelman definitely looked like one of the best players on the floor every time her team played. She was brilliant in a 3×3 contest where she looked unstoppable. Her outside shot was solid, but she was making her money by attacking the basket. Every time she went up, she would ignore contact and finish through traffic. There was even a play where she finished over 3 defenders.

Like I said, Steelman can definitely shoot from outside. There were times where her shot wasn’t on, so she made she to attack closeouts and get to the basket or pull up from mid-range. But if she was ever left open, the lefty would drill it from outside.

Avery Steelman Avery Steelman 5'8" | SG Cabot | 2029 State AR is going to be one of the best guards in 6A this coming year, and the competition shoudl be shaking in their boots.
