Avery had a strong showing at Fort League this summer as she prepared for her upcoming junior season. She shot the ball well from beyond the arc, showing off her range by knocking down shots from beyond the college three-point line. Avery also has a quick first step and does a great job attacking off the dribble when defenders overplay her on the perimeter, allowing her to get into the paint and create scoring opportunities.

Avery earned Shore Conference All-Division B North Third Team honors while helping her team win a division title and capture a sectional championship for the first time in over a decade. She attacks the paint under control and makes smart kick-out passes when defenses collapse. Defensively, she is a tenacious on-ball presence, picking up opponents early and making it difficult for them to initiate offense.
