Awel was second in scoring (6 PPG) and in rebounds (7.4 RPG) for the Southern Lady Trojans last season. She is a 6-foot forward with excellent length, athleticism, and skill. She has great footwork and scores well with her back to the basket. Awel is also a high level rebounder and a versatile defender who shows flashes of an elite shot blocker.
