Bailee Durant Bailee Durant 5'10" | SG/SF South Sioux City | 2026 State NE has a smooth shooting stroke and she can be an impact player on both sides of the basketball when she brings the fire. Durant, a 5’10 SG/SF, is categorized as both of these because of her versatile ability. She can step up as the 2 and be a main bucket getter, she get look to be the 3 and play more as a CG, or she can move all the way to the 4 and defend up with someone who might have some size on her. It all depends on the situation. Durant is coming off of a good season with her Nebraska Supreme 17U team. If she stays on this pace, she should have some more interest from the college level over these next few months.

Bailee Durant Bailee Durant 5'10" | SG/SF South Sioux City | 2026 State NE should have a nice Spring/Summer with her Nebraska Supreme team. Durant is considered a knock-down shooter of the catch. She also has good size to finish at the bucket with her length if she so chooses. She is going to be surrounded by prospects this AAU season that know what they are doing. Prospects that have a good amount of ability at every position. This means Durant will play her natural SG position and that’s why she is going to shine. I’ll be in this AAU season to see this program compete and I’m expecting fireworks. They work hard and play the right way so it should be some good basketball to watch.

South Sioux City might not of had the high school season they would have imagined at the beginning of the year but that doesn’t mean that they can’t end things on a positive note. The Cardinals sit with a 8-13 record as they take on Buena Vista (3-18) tonight at home. Someone that has been a main player for the Cards over her career is SG, Bailee Durant Bailee Durant 5'10" | SG/SF South Sioux City | 2026 State NE . Durant is looked upon to make open jumpers, as well as rebounding and playing sound defense. If this team wants to win more games over these next few weeks, Durant will need to trust in her prior work. She always has seemed like someone that is dedicated to getting better in her off-seasons and hopefully that comes to the surface in this battle.

Moving into this season, I was thoroughly impressed with Bailee Durant Bailee Durant 5'10" | SG/SF South Sioux City | 2026 State NE and what she was doing on the AAU floor, along with the Fall Showcase floor. Durant, a 5’10 SG, has a picture perfect shot form, that you can tell is going to be a good look when she lets it go. Whenever you are watching her compete and you see that first shot go up, as an evaluator, you know she is a pure SG immediately. We are still two years away but this is a college level prospect in a few different aspects. If she can find the correct niche within a program, she could make it rain at the next level even more.

The future is bright at South Sioux City High School because of some of their talented young prospects. Someone that will return to this lineup, that made a great impression last Winter was Bailee Durant at the Shooting Guard position. Durant was a reliable source of production on both sides of the ball throughout the entire year and she is ready to step up even more over the next six months. I have a feeling that there is going to be a few standouts on the floor for this team but the one that opponents really have to worry about will be Durant.

Bailee Durant showed out during this event, demonstrating that she could be the first option for a team with her shooting ability off the catch or dribble. Durant made the most of her opportunities whenever the defense would give her time and she stood out because of that on Saturday morning. With Durant’s height and stationary shot form, it makes sense as to why she is such an accurate shooter most of the time. In any offense, if you can move quickly into your shot and still be efficient, then you are the real deal and I think this is someone who could get to that point somewhere in her future.

Bailee Durant Bailee Durant 5'10" | SG/SF South Sioux City | 2026 State NE is a prospect that makes it happen. She has always had the “it” factor to her game whenever I’ve sat down to watch compete over the past two years. Durant has better than average size, she understands the game really well, and she has skill to back everything up. She moves well off of the ball being able to knock down shots off the catch or she can take her defender off the dribble with a quick set up and go – type move. Not to mention, she is always one of the first ones on the ground or into the stands for a loose ball and that speaks to who she is as a competitor. Something you have to respect from an outside point of view.

Bailee Durant Bailee Durant 5'10" | SG/SF South Sioux City | 2026 State NE is a prospect that is years above her age-level in skill on the floor. This weekend she demonstrated that she isn’t just very good in the skill aspects of basketball but she is also very knowledgeable when it comes to all the other aspects of the game. She is someone that can score in bunches on any opponent with knowing what to do and when to do it, she understands footwork to a T in any given situation on the catch or off the dribble, and most importantly – she keeps it simple more times than not. When you see prospects that have this type of play-style, sometimes they get in their own ways but not Durant. She seems to soak things in like a sponge and because of that, she sees a lot of success in almost every aspect of the game. This was a solid weekend for Durant as a whole. She showed off what she could do at a high rate physically, while also demonstrating that she can make the mental adjustments needed to be successful. If she can keep this up, the sky is really the limit for a prospect with her caliber of ability.
