The sophomore was a key part of Caddo’s early hot start. She’s an all action player as evident by her eight rebounds and a pair of swats. Plays with an edge on the defensive end. Had impressive moves to the rim too. Good end to end speed when pushing in transition/running the floor. Plays off two feet and strongly around the hoop. Was 6-7 from the field, only taking high value shots. Needs to clean up her turnovers a bit, but an impressive showing in a big time environment.

The sophomore has consistently been a double figure scorer this year for a deep Caddo team that is a strong Class A Title contender. She’s a high motor player, who along with her scoring often gets on the boards. And makes plays on the defensive end. Has a plus wingspan, which helps her with the aforementioned rebounding and steals. Last night she helped the Lady Bruins to a playoff win with a monstrous 23 points, 15 rebounds and 4 steals performance. Caddo is 22-1 now and Hookom will likely be one of the must watch prospects next month as the Class A State Tournament will help open up the new Coliseum.

The one non 918 prospect featured in this article. Hookum is a southern Oklahoma prospect with an unbelievable motor on both ends of the court. Consistently in the passing lanes and denying entry passes. Her long arms and activity level seems to always put her in the right place at the right time. From corralling long rebounds to quickly turn into defense into offense; the Caddo Lady Bruin brings a non stop action and infectious energy.

Nice long 2/3 guard combo that is tough defender on the ball as she stays low and long. Great lateral footwork on ball defense kept the ball handler going side to side. Nice rotation on help defense showing an understanding of help the helper concept. Amazing hops as she grabbed several rebounds out of the air. Big hops and length was a great combo for several block shots.
Offensively knocked down the outside shot on a quick release opening up the reads to attack the paint on bad closeouts. Crashes the board for offensive putbacks. First time seeing Belle play and one that I will be watching her freshman seanson.

Freshman Showcase was the first time seeing Belle play. A very nice player that moves great without the ball always finding the open gaps for scoring opportunities. Nice midrange jumper off the dribble. A very strong baseline driver that creates contact making her way to the basket for the finish. Nice handles off the wing that continued to get paint touches. Showed the outside that kept the defense respectable. A player that will be on my watch list this season. Plays HS ball for Caddo

Belle stood out, even amongst a lot of tall and long players, for the fact that she was really long for her height. She used her long arms really well to get off a nice mid-range shot that was basically unblockable. She showed a nice high release and was always quick to do the little things like box out as soon as the shot went up. All morning Belle stood out for her work ethic and she applied constant pressure to anyone unlucky enough to draw her as an assignment on the offensive end. There was a pretty good chance she was shutting them down. You might think you got past her initially, but watch out when those long arms start flying up behind you to swat your shot!
