About Kayden
Expert Analysis

Prince is a lanky guard who is a plus athlete. She was super productive this past high school season for Class A runner ups Caddo. Can switch onto multiple positions defensively. And even elevate around the rim for blocks and boards. Offensively, has a good first step and speed to pressure the rim. With range from deep as well. Saw her battle with a great motor in a tough Sunday morning match up.

Another efficient 20+ game for Caddo’s junior guard. This time it was 22 points with 5 steals. Helped settle down the team and close out the game when Cyril made a late push. The production in back to back big games is off the charts. She’s consistent around the rim and seems to always pop up with a big three when needed.

Prince was the go to option for Caddo all game long and she poured in a game high 25 points. Including clutch three pointers throughout the second half. She was 4 of 6 from beyond the arc, showing remarkable efficiency. Especially considering how important each three in the second half was was.. She got it going early by being the right place at the right time in transition, cuts to the rim and offensive rebounds. Complete scorer who is clutch for the top ranked Lady Bruins.

Hyper competitive Junior leader for the Bruins is approaching 1,000 career points quickly. Tenacious on defense, really tough to stop in the open floor. Was quoted earlier in the year saying that her mindset before a game was to “be a menace” and that is evident in her play. 50/50 plays seem to always work out in her favor from games that I’ve seen, just because she makes that happen.

The Caddo Lad Bruins are 4-0 which shouldn’t be too shocking considering they’ve made State four straight times in Class A. But this impressive start includes a Madill Winter Classic championship and a win over 6A program Deer Creek. Prince is one of their top players and she’s started the season on a tear. With 17 points in the season opener win over top 10 Class B team Turner. Then a 23 point and 9 rebound performance against a quality Class 5A team, Durant. Prince and company where runner ups last year in Class A, their second Silver Ball in 3 years. But based on this start, this could be the team which finishes the job for the southeastern Oklahoma program.

I had the opportunity to see Kayden play in two events this summer. Both events were on the PGH circuit. The guard stood out when I watched her get hot in Texas from the 3 point line. She brings great height at the shooting guard spot. The height and being able to play 2-4 position on the floor should be a draw for coaches. The junior plays on a very good high school team that likes to press and push tempo.

The lefty has great height and length for the guard spot. Kayden can play the 1-3 guard spots and possible the 4 if you are running a 4 out offense. Good handles the open floor that uses the pocket hesi to change her speed while attacking the rim. On the kick out passes they are strong and, on the money, getting it quickly to the open shooter. I have seen Kayden before and she is a expectably good outside shooter with nice form and release. In the game Saturday she took what the defense gave her scoring 18 points with most of those coming off downhill drives and back door cuts. Best finish move is a right to left hand spin move that was tight and put in squared up with the backboard for the finish.
The 2027 plays on a highly ranked high school team and understands what it takes to win ball games. Expect an outstanding junior season that could increase the recruiting interest.

Who does not like lefty shooters, especially when they are as versatile as this young lady. A very smooth release on the shot that needs very little time to set up as she is ready to go on the catch. A shooter that stretches out the defense in transition as she is spotted up in the right corner ready for the kick up the court. A very complete player. More of an evaluation on Kayden coming up.

The promising sophomore led Caddo to the Class A title game, where they came up just short. She’s a lefty, who seems automatic when left open from three. But along with the shooting, she’s a quick off her feet athlete. Capable of helping out with rebounds, and also score in traffic. Like the fluidness of her movements on drives, especially her spin moves to gain seperation to score. Can also get skinny when driving through traffic. Good all around scoring game, for a player who is building quite the resume of winning and production down in southern Oklahoma.

Notched 10 points and five rebounds in the Championship game, I thought her 25 point performance in the quarter finals was the best game a Class A girl had at the Big House this year.
