has been a primary scoring threat throughout the season. Schneider transitioned into a limiting defensive force and a clutch finisher in the state final. While the championship was a low-scoring defensive battle, Schneider was instrumental in the final minute, going 4-for-6 from the free-throw line to ice the 33–27 victory over Green Mountain. She finished the campaign as the Lions’ leading scorer, averaging 14.5 PPG and proving her versatility with 2.6 SPG and 1.1 BPG. Schneider’s veteran leadership and ability to level up in the game’s closing moments were the link that secured the Lions’ first 5A crown.

Berkley put her team on her back and led them to a huge win with 18 points and eight rebounds. She was a major reason their offense found rhythm especially in the half court where she created good looks from three and attacked in transition. Her all-around performance gave her team exactly what it needed to move forward.

has been a catalyst for the thriving 20-3 Lions this season, weaving past defenders and getting creative inside and out on offense. Schneider has no problem taking her defender to the rim and earning trips to the foul stripe. One of her most dangerous assets to her game is her three-point confidence, capitalizing on 31% from way downtown. Combining her height at 5’11 with her elite acceleration, Schneider is a handful for opposing defenders to keep up with.

Berkley didn’t have her best shooting night but she delivered when it mattered most. In the third quarter she knocked down a bucket that ended up being the turning point for her team. Even when shots aren’t falling her basketball IQ and defense helped got the job done.

Schneider had a fantastic week powering her Lutheran Lions to a perfect 3-0 record. With wins over Air Academy and Windsor, Schneider elevated her game, averaging nearly 7 points more than her season average. She made clutch plays for her team all week. One of my favorites, was a slick baseline drive with a spin-move finish against Air Academy. That play all but sealed the win in overtime. In a tense battle with Windsor, she scored eight of Lutheran’s last twelve points, proving unstoppable in crunch time. Her stellar play is turning Lutheran into a true contender for the 5A state crown.
Averages for the week:
21.0 PPG, 4.3 AST, 2.0 STL and 87.5% (14-16) on FT
